Celebrating International Women’s Day!

On March 8 every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated across the globe to recognize and showcase the economic, political and social achievements of women.

Women’s Day is not a day which should have frills and laces attached to it. It is a day of semblance historically, politically and socially. Today as the day approaches, women can look back and feel proud of their achievements, spare a thought for those sisters of their clan who were subjected to harassment, physical assault, and racial and sexual discrimination.

In theme for the open day meeting, at AnAr, today, was on this very topic. We discussed about – What does International Women’s Day mean to you? The importance of Women in everyone’s life. Everyone discussed about their priorities, things their mothers, wife, sisters have done for them and ways to give it back!

Team members discussed that, women, in spite of all the odds, are in charge and they are not ones to take things lying down. They are the angels of birth and they always will be whether nature treats them with dollops of love, warmth, and care or metes out situations where she has to turn from a Fairy Godmother to a She Devil.

Team members expressed their gratitude towards the women in their life by sharing experiences about their female family members, friends and colleagues. Women’s day should not be just for a day but it should be a day to reiterate the feeling of independence and attaining self-respect to the ladies in and around was what AnAr team was talking about.

To help stimulate a broader conversation on gender diversity, we feel it’s vital that organisations focus on providing talented women with the opportunities and experiences they need to progress and grow throughout their careers, are the views of Directors at AnAr Solutions.
